The 1500-hour Barber training at Summit Salon Academy includes theory and practical instruction that prepares the student to perform all aspects of the barber program. The training includes two types of learning: theoretical knowledge and the practical experience to build the skills needed to be successful in the profession.

Our goal is to prepare students for the licensing examination by the Board of Cosmetology for the State of Illinois only. The school teaches the necessary technical and business skills to gain entry level position in the Barber job market.
